Gaon Laut Cholo is the command of respected father Mahatma Gandhi. So our focus from beginning on rural development, it do not mean we are neglect to urban. Since 2003 we are both of the field. Urban poverty is a multidimensional phenomenon. The urban poor live with many deprivations. Their daily challenges may include; limited access to employment opportunities and income, inadequate and insecure housing and services, violent and unhealthy environments, little or no social protection mechanisms, and limited access to adequate health and education opportunities. In this time most of the people in urban area not taking proper education for the poverty. The village people come to the urban for well earning and settle their life but the urban person has no way to go anywhere.

On the Urban Development programme, an integrated development strategy is followed. The organization has taken initiatives in the field of education for children, helping hand for senior citizen & education, women empowerment through vocational training and widow welfare & assistance in kind, health on HIV/AIDS, medicine distribution & disease with medical check up, family planning, avoid early marriage, awareness, legal rights, religion and human rights, child welfare, child death, tanning programme on youth awareness, many more awareness camps, Self help groups, women right, water supply, cloth distribution, save water & good behave for ladies, spend time in music-dance-keep fit for ladies, self depend for ladies, breast feeding, stop begging, traffic rule, use ambulance, use solar energy, save electricity energy, ladies in asthmatic, ladies in spine, air-water-noise-soil pollution, save Yamuna river and health are run simultaneously.

Navjivan Foundation believes the answer to bringing about an end to poverty is to create self-sufficiency. For people living in poverty to share ideas and create their own solutions, so that when they look for answers, they will see themselves. Organization doesn’t give hand outs or believe in short-term fixes as a solution. But we believe in long-term that bring about sustainable solutions and long-lasting change for the better. More over on the topic explores some of the complexities of India’s urban growth since its first post-Independence census of 1951. Two levels of analysis are pursued as they affect one another: numerical or demographic changes, on one hand, and changes in living conditions, or sociocultural trends, on the other. The general conclusion of the study is that a process of erosion of traditional society is occurring, but it is occurring slowly— as a population more than twice the size of the entire India in urban to live in the countryside. So the sociocultural change is occurring in a non-linear fashion, as much that is traditional endures along side of the modern—rather than being replaced or obliterated by it. Finally, while the growth is occurring in cities of all sizes, the intermediate, regional capitals like Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad—rather than the largest cities such as Bombay or Calcutta—are experiencing the most rapid growth. But this is very less so if we really desire to develop the urban we have to focus on the reducing the growth rate of population and giving awareness to the people staying in urban slum, helping to give proper education, better sanitation for the people, better water facility etc.
